Our Story
On Point Building was established in 2015, born from the drive, passion and dedication of Managing Director Matt.
Matt’s journey in the construction industry began at the age of 17, when he commenced his carpentry apprenticeship with a local Sutherland Shire builder. After completing his apprenticeship, he advanced to the role of Site Supervisor and in 2014, he completed his Certificate IV in Building and Construction. Then in 2015, Matt decided to pursue his vision and founded On Point Building, bringing with him almost a decade of experience and a commitment to excellence.
From the outset, On Point Building has been a family-run business, with Matt’s wife, Elyce, working alongside him as the business Accounts and Administration Manager. The company has seen them through buying their first family home in 2017 and welcoming their two children into the fold as mini business managers in 2020 and 2022. Today, On Point Building stands as a testament to their dedication to crafting high-quality, bespoke residential projects and client experiences.
Who We Work With
We serve a diverse clientele, including residential homeowners and investors, ranging from young families, couples and individuals to empty nesters. We engage with clients at various stages of their project journey, whether they are in the concept design phase or already have council / certifier approvals.
Our goal is to ensure that every client has a positive pre-construction and construction experience—one that fosters a successful working relationship and most importantly, helps clients achieve their dream homes or appealing investment properties. For pre-construction phase projects, we work closely with architects and designers to establish concept designs and plans that align with our clients' project investment, ensuring a thoughtful and collaborative approach to each project.

Elyce has been an integral part of On Point Building since its inception. With a legal background and experience in the commercial building industry, she manages the administrative, financial, and communicative aspects of the business.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws; Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting); Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice; Masters of Teaching (Secondary)
